LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced the recipients of the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award, with the Lynn University women's volleyball program once again recognized for its excellence in the classroom. The Fighting Knights earned the prestigious academic honor for the fifth consecutive season and the 19th time in program history.
 
Lynn also received the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll distinction, recognizing programs that rank among the top 20 percent of team grade-point averages in their respective NCAA divisions. It marks the fourth time the Fighting Knights have earned Honor Roll recognition.
 
The AVCA Team Academic Award is presented annually to volleyball programs that maintain a year-long cumulative team GPA of at least 3.30. This season, a total of 1,432 collegiate and high school programs received the honor, highlighting the continued academic success of volleyball teams across the country.
 
Lynn's continued success in the classroom reflects the program's commitment to excellence under head coach Travis Nichols, whose team has consistently paired academic achievement with success on the court.
 
Since the award's inception during the 1992-93 academic year, the Fighting Knights have established themselves as one of Division II's premier academic volleyball programs, now collecting 19 AVCA Team Academic Awards while continuing to rank among the nation's elite in team GPA.
