BOCA RATON, Fla. - No. 15 Lynn University volleyball turned in a perfect Saturday inside the de Hoernle Sports and Cultural Center, sweeping Fort Valley State 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-10) in the afternoon before handing previously unbeaten UIndy its first loss of the season with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-17) victory Saturday night. The Fighting Knights did not drop a set across the doubleheader, improving to 8-1 overall while extending their home record to 3-0.
 
No. 15 Lynn defeats Fort Valley State, 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-10): Lynn volleyball continued its dominant start to the 2026 season Saturday afternoon, cruising past Fort Valley State in straight sets. The Fighting Knights hit a season-best .453 and erupted for 17 service aces as they improved to 7-1 overall and 2-0 at home
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Set One: Lynn 25, FVSU 15
- Ula Gorjup opened the afternoon with an ace before kills from Alexia Radulovic and Audrey Shaw gave Lynn an early 3-1 advantage
- Lira Pukl Verdel then took over from the service line, recording three aces during an 8-0 run that turned a 3-1 edge into an 11-1 advantage
- Radulovic added two kills during the surge, while Zara Rendic chipped in two of her own
- The Fighting Knights continued to roll as Radulovic's fourth kill of the frame made it 13-3 before a Lillia Neill-Rendic block extended the advantage to 14-3
- Neill followed with a kill and Rendic delivered an ace to give Lynn a commanding 16-4 lead
- Fort Valley State used a late push to cut the deficit to 19-12, but Lynn answered with kills from Rendic and Neill to move within two points of the set
- Neill put Lynn at set point before Pukl Verdel finished off the opening frame with a kill for the 25-15 victory
- Lynn hit .462 with 14 kills and just two errors in the opening set
 
Set Two: Lynn 25, FVSU 10
- Lynn carried its momentum into the second, jumping out to a 5-1 advantage behind three early kills from Radulovic and an ace from Clara Maidantchik
- With the Fighting Knights leading 6-4, a Fort Valley State error, a Shaw kill and a Rendic ace pushed the margin to 10-4
- Lynn continued to pull away as a Gorjup block, Gorjup kill and Amaya Roberson kill helped stretch the lead to 14-5
- Roberson added consecutive kills to make it 16-7 before Radulovic put down another kill to start a 5-0 Lynn run
- Ivy Westfall delivered back-to-back aces during the surge before consecutive Chloe Riley kills pushed the Fighting Knights ahead 21-8
- Radulovic's sixth kill of the set made it 22-9 before Rendic, Reese Bozak and Riley supplied the final three kills to close out a 25-10 win
- Lynn was nearly flawless offensively in the frame, pounding down 16 kills with just two errors on 25 attempts for a .560 hitting percentage
 
Set Three: Lynn 25, FVSU 10
- Fort Valley State grabbed an early 5-3 advantage before Lynn quickly erased the deficit
- A Radulovic kill and back-to-back Maidantchik aces put the Fighting Knights ahead 6-5, while Shaw followed with a kill for a 7-5 advantage
- After the Wildcats tied the set at 7-7, Lynn took control with five unanswered points. Shaw and Gorjup each recorded blocks during the run as the Blue and White surged ahead 12-7
- Lynn's lead grew to 18-8 behind two Gorjup kills, consecutive Rendic aces and a Bozak kill
- Roberson then recorded back-to-back kills before Madison Jones put the match away from the service line
- Jones fired three consecutive aces to stretch the advantage to 23-9, giving Lynn its 16th ace of the afternoon
- Roberson moved the Fighting Knights to match point before Bozak fittingly ended the afternoon with Lynn's 17th service ace, sealing the 25-10 victory and the sweep
 
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn improved to 7-1 overall and 2-0 at home with its second sweep in as many days
- The Fighting Knights hit a blistering .453, totaling 40 kills against just six attacking errors on 75 attempts
- Lynn hit at least .333 in all three sets, including .462 in the first and .560 in the second
- The Blue and White dominated from the service line with 17 aces, compared to just one for Fort Valley State
- Lynn doubled up the Wildcats in kills, 40-20, while also holding advantages in assists (37-19), digs (37-25) and blocks (6-2)
- Radulovic led the attack with a match-high 10 kills on .571 hitting, committing just two errors on 14 swings
- Roberson turned in a strong performance with seven kills and no errors on 13 attempts, hitting .538 in two sets
- Neill finished a perfect afternoon at the net with four kills on five attempts and no errors, good for a .800 hitting percentage
- Gorjup filled the stat sheet with 22 assists, nine digs, three kills, three blocks and an ace
- Rendic led Lynn from the service line with four aces, while Pukl Verdel, Jones and Maidantchik each added three

No. 15 Lynn defeats (RV) Indianapolis, 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-17): Lynn volleyball capped a perfect Saturday night with another impressive performance, handing previously unbeaten UIndy its first loss of the season in a 3-0 sweep inside the de Hoernle Sports and Cultural Center. The Fighting Knights held the Greyhounds to a .044 hitting percentage and finished the day without dropping a set as they improved to 8-1 overall.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Set One: Lynn 25, UIndy 17
- The two sides traded points throughout the early stages, with neither team leading by more than two as Lynn and UIndy battled to an 8-8 tie
- Lynn created the first separation of the night behind an Alexia Radulovic kill, a Zara Rendic kill and an Audrey Shaw kill to take an 11-9 advantage
- The Fighting Knights followed with a Rendic-Lillia Neill block and capitalized on a pair of Greyhound miscues to extend the lead to 16-10
- Rendic added another kill before Neill, Lira Pukl Verdel and Ula Gorjup helped push the Blue and White ahead 20-12
- UIndy trimmed the deficit to 20-14, but a Gorjup-Shaw block and a Shaw kill quickly restored an eight-point advantage at 22-14
- The Greyhounds pulled within 24-17 before Rendic slammed home her fifth kill of the frame to finish off a 25-17 opening-set victory
- Lynn hit .367 in the opening frame, recording 15 kills while holding UIndy to a .063 clip
 
Set Two: Lynn 25, UIndy 21
- UIndy opened the second set with the first three points before kills from Shaw and Radulovic helped Lynn settle in
- The Fighting Knights erased the early deficit and tied the frame at 5-5 behind consecutive Rendic kills before Neill brought Lynn even again at 8-8
- Neither side could pull away through the middle of the set, with ties at 9-9, 10-10, 11-11, 12-12 and 13-13
- Rendic broke the deadlock with a kill before Ella Voorhees delivered an ace and a UIndy attack error pushed Lynn ahead 16-13
- After the Greyhounds cut the margin to 17-15, the Fighting Knights rattled off four unanswered points.

- UIndy refused to go quietly, responding with five of the next six points to pull within 22-20

Set Three: Lynn 25, UIndy 17
- Lynn wasted little time taking command of the third, jumping ahead 4-1 behind kills from Shaw and Radulovic, a Shaw block and a Neill kill
- Rendic and Pukl Verdel followed with kills before Gorjup added one of her own as the Fighting Knights raced out to an 8-2 advantage
- UIndy battled back to within 10-7, but Neill answered with a kill to halt the Greyhound surge
- Lynn maintained control before consecutive UIndy errors and a Gorjup kill extended the advantage to 18-12
- Rendic then sparked another surge, putting away a kill before combining with Neill and Gorjup on a block
- Back-to-back Pukl Verdel kills followed to give Lynn a commanding 22-13 lead
- UIndy cut the deficit to 23-16, but Gorjup moved Lynn to match point with her fifth kill of the night
- Shaw slammed the door moments later, finishing off the sweep with her ninth kill for the 25-17 victory
 
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn improved to 8-1 overall, while handing UIndy its first loss of the season after the Greyhounds entered the night 10-0
- The Fighting Knights held UIndy to just 25 kills and a .044 hitting percentage, including a -.022 clip in the second set
- Lynn finished with 46 kills on .227 hitting and held a 46-25 advantage in kills
- Rendic led all players with 14 kills on .370 hitting, committing just four errors on 27 attempts. She added nine digs and two blocks for a match-high 15.5 points
- Shaw delivered one of her strongest offensive performances of the season with nine kills on .353 hitting while adding two blocks
- Gorjup filled the stat sheet with 36 assists, five kills on .455 hitting, four digs and three blocks
- Pukl Verdel added eight kills and nine digs, while Neill finished with five kills and a team-high three block assists
- Haidyn Spano anchored the back row with a match-high 16 digs, while Voorhees added 11 digs and a match-high two service aces
- Lynn finished with 55 digs, 43 assists and seven blocks while limiting UIndy to zero service aces
- The Fighting Knights closed Saturday with six consecutive set victories, sweeping both Fort Valley State and previously unbeaten UIndy
