ORLANDO, Fla. – Lynn University volleyball junior Ula Gorjup has been named the Sunshine State Conference Setter of the Week following a dominant weekend that saw the No. 15 Fighting Knights go 3-0 without dropping a set.
 
Gorjup directed a Lynn offense that swept Trevecca Nazarene, Fort Valley State and previously unbeaten UIndy while hitting .310 across the three matches. The junior totaled 91 assists over nine sets, averaging 10.11 assists per set, while adding 24 digs, eight blocks and 10 kills. She committed no attacking errors on 20 attempts to finish the weekend with a .500 hitting percentage.
 
The Ljubljana, Slovenia native opened the weekend with 33 assists and 11 digs in Lynn's 3-0 home-opening victory over Trevecca Nazarene. Gorjup followed with 22 assists, nine digs, three kills and three solo blocks as the Fighting Knights rolled past Fort Valley State in straight sets.
 
She saved one of her best performances of the young season for Saturday night's matchup against UIndy. Facing a Greyhound squad that entered the contest 10-0, Gorjup handed out 36 assists in just three sets, an average of 12.00 per set, while adding five kills on .455 hitting and three block assists as Lynn earned another convincing sweep.
 
Gorjup's performance also earned her PBA/Lynn Bash at the Beach Tournament MVP honors as the Fighting Knights improved to 8-1 overall and completed a perfect 3-0 opening weekend on their home floor.
 
The honor marks Gorjup's first SSC Setter of the Week award of the 2026 season while it is Lynn volleyball's second conference weekly award of the young season. Lira Pukl Verdel earned SSC Offensive Player of the Week honors just two weeks ago following the Fighting Knights' opening weekend of competition.
