HARROGATE, Tenn. - The No. 24 Lynn University men's soccer team took a first-half lead and put seven shots on goal but settled for a 1-1 draw against Lincoln Memorial on Tuesday evening.
The Fighting Knights remain unbeaten through four matches and move to 1-0-3 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lincoln Memorial registered the first attempt of the match in the seventh minute before Lynn began to generate opportunities of its own

Fabian Vyhnalek recorded Lynn's first attempt in the ninth minute

Fabian Wagner followed with an attempt in the 17th minute as the Fighting Knights continued to apply pressure

Luan Barroso Rennstich broke the deadlock at 30:03, scoring his first goal of the season to give Lynn a 1-0 advantage

Robin Muenst nearly doubled the advantage less than three minutes later, forcing a save from Lincoln Memorial's goalkeeper

Julian Marcos made a save in the 35th minute to help preserve the lead

Rui Ferreira put an attempt on goal in the 41st minute as Lynn entered halftime with a 1-0 advantage
- The Fighting Knights held an 8-3 advantage in shots during the opening half
- Muenst tested the goalkeeper again in the 55th minute, but his attempt was saved
- Lincoln Memorial pulled even at 59:54 to make it 1-1
- Barroso Rennstich immediately looked to restore Lynn's advantage, putting a shot on goal less than a minute after the equalizer
- Marcos made another save in the 75th minute to keep the match level
- Wagner and Ferreira each placed attempts on goal in the final 13 minutes, but both were denied
- Marcos made a final save in the 90th minute as the Fighting Knights secured their third consecutive draw and remained unbeaten
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Barroso Rennstich scored his first goal of the season and finished with three shots, placing two on goal
- Muenst recorded a team-high-tying three shots with two attempts on goal
- Ferreira added three shots and placed two on frame
- Lynn put seven of its 12 shots on goal, compared to five of 13 for Lincoln Memorial
- Marcos played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded three saves
- The Fighting Knights outshot Lincoln Memorial 8-3 in the first half
- Lynn and Lincoln Memorial each finished with four corner kicks
