Biography

Junior (2017-18): Played in all 27 games, starting three…registered 20.9 minutes per game as the team's sixth man...fourth-leading scorer at 10.3 points per game…shot 43.5% from the field and 37.7% from three…led the team in free throws made (3.4) and attempted (4.6) per game…second on the team in free throw percentage (74.8%)…tied for second on the team with 5.1 rebounds per game…recorded a season-high 31 minutes with 14 points and seven rebounds in a win vs Lincoln (Pa.) (12/9)…notched a double-double scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds vs Tampa (1/20)…scored a season-high 18 points in a win vs Embry-Riddle (2/10), making 4-of-5 from long range…tallied 17 points on a perfect 8-of-8 from the free throw line in the opening round of the SSC Tournament (02/28).

Prior to Lynn: 
Played his first two seasons at Division II Wingate University.

Sophomore (2016-17): 
Was named an All-South Atlantic Conference First Team selection in his second season at Wingate University...played in all 31 games, making 28 starts...led the Bulldogs in scoring with 15.7 points per game...ranked second on the squad with 6.9 boards per contest...shot 46.4% from the field and knocked down 44 triples on the year...tallied 1.7 assists per game and ranked second on the team with 28 steals...scored in double figures in all but four games...logged six double-doubles...scored a career-high 30 points in a win over Catawba, shooting 8-of-11 from the field, 3-of-6 from long range and 11-of-11 at the charity stripe...recorded 16 points and eight boards in the NCAA Tournament Southeast Regional opener against No. 6 Queens (N.C.).

Freshman (2015-16):
 Earned All-SAC Freshman Team honors in his first season at Wingate University, while also earning a spot on the All-SAC Tournament team…appeared in all 33 games for the Bulldogs, making 27 starts…finished second on the team with 13.3 points per game, finishing third on the team with 5.9 rebounds per contest…knocked down 59 threes on the year, ranking second on the Bulldogs…scored in double figures 23 times as a freshman, compiling six double-doubles…scored in double figures in 14 of Wingate’s last 15 games, including all five postseason contests…had 21 points and 12 rebounds in his collegiate debut, while compiling 17 points and 10 boards in his second game…followed a 19-point effort at Lenoir-Rhyne with 18 points in the win over No. 20 UNC Pembroke…registered back-to-back 13-point, 12-rebound efforts against Newberry and LMU…had 16 points in the victory over ninth-ranked Queens…had 18 points in the win at Tusculum, while pouring in 22 points at Queens…had 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting in the win at Carson-Newman, followed by a 20-point performance against Catawba…had 25 points on nine-of-14 shooting in the SAC Tournament victory against Carson-Newman, adding 10 rebounds, three steals and two blocks…scored 16 points in the SAC semifinal win against No. 20 Queens…registered 16 points in the overtime win against Montevallo in the NCAA Tournament.

High School: Averaged 19.9 points per game during his senior season at United Christian Academy…he also compiled 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in his final season…registered 17.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest during his high school career.

Personal: Born January 29, 1997...son of Jose and Kaylee Baez...has one sibling, Gabriel...majoring in sports management...enjoys video games and FaceTime in his free time.
