Biography

R-Junior (2017-18): Started 25 of 27 games appeared in…third on the team in minutes played (27.3) and points per game (10.9)…second on the team in field goal percentage (50.0%)…led the team in rebounds per game (7.0) and blocks per game (1.2)…posted 21 points and nine rebounds against Saint Leo (12/30), making 7-of-9 shots from the floor…recorded a season-high 25 points while snagging seven rebounds vs. Florida Southern (2/14)…notched a double-double scoring 10 points and hauling in a season-high 12 rebounds in the SSC Tournament against Florida Southern (2/28).

Prior to Lynn:
Attended Bowling Green University for three years, playing two seasons for the Division I Falcons.

R-Sophomore (2016-17):
Played in 31 of 32 games...averaged 4.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.6 blocks per game...his 20 blocks on the season was a team-high...logged a season-high 14 points with five boards at South Dakota.

R-Freshman (2015-16): Played in all 34 games for the Falcons, making 28 starts…totaled 681 minutes on the season…averaged 7.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game…led the Falcons in blocks with 30 on the season…ranked 13th in the MAC overall on the year with an average of 0.9 blocks per contest…recorded 243 points, 155 rebounds, 16 assists and eight steals on the year…fourth on the team with a field goal percentage of 49.7 percent (96-of-193) for the season…also shot 44.4 percent (4-of-9) from behind the three-point line…was 47-of-80 (58.8 percent) from the free throw line on the year…made his first career start in the season opener versus New Orleans…led BGSU in rebounding in seven games on the year…scored in double figures in 11 different games on the season…poured in a career-high 16 points in the loss at Detroit…also tallied 15 points three different times – at home versus New Orleans, against Youngstown State and at home against Akron…totaled 14 points in home wins over UMBC and Ohio…hauled in a career-high 11 rebounds in the MAC Championship Tournament semifinals versus Akron…recorded nine rebounds in the win on the road at Western Michigan and eight boards in the home win over Urbana…posted a career-high four blocks in the home win over Miami (Ohio)…totaled a career-high four steals in the road loss at Northern Illinois…shot 50 percent or better from the field overall in 17 different contests on the year…was a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor shooting in the neutral site win over Youngstown State…played double-digit minutes in 33 games on the year, including logging 20 minutes or more in 16 different games…played a season-high 30 minutes in the home win over UMBC and in the road loss at Kent State…totaled 14 points and 21 rebounds in BGSU’s three MAC Championship Tournament games.

Freshman (2014-15): Sat out the year as a redshirt.

High School: Lettered at Sipsey Valley High School in Alabama…led his team to back-to-back 20-win seasons over his final two years of play…tabbed a Second-Team Class 3A All-State selection his senior season…led his team to a 22-9 overall record his senior year…averaged 14.2 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.3 blocks, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game as a senior…earned All-State Honorable Mention accolades in 2012-13 as a junior…posted 15.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game his junior year…shot 53.8 percent from the field and blocked more than 100 shots as a junior…played for both the Alabama Celtics and the Alabama Magic AAU Teams.

Personal: Born July 9, 1996...son of Latoya Chase and Cret Shamblin...has five siblings; William Worrell, Dashauntis Chase, Micheal Chase, Austin Shamblin, Katelynn Shamblin...majoring in communications and emerging media...enjoys dancing and playing Xbox in his free time...signed early with Appalachian State in November 2013, but was released due to a coaching change.
