Freshman (2018): Played in all 30 matches as a freshman, making 24 starts...was one of five players to appear in all 109 sets on the season...started off the season hot, winning SSC Setter of the Week honors after distributing 50+ assists in three of four matches...named to the All-Tournament Team at the 11^th Annual NSU Shark Invitational...registered eight double-doubles on the year...finished the season with a team-high 812 assists at 7.45 per set...logged 24 kills, 33 aces and 194 digs...made her collegiate debut in the season-opening win over Valdosta St. (8/24), logging 57 assists, marking the ninth-most-ever from a Fighting Knight in a four-set match in program history...followed it up with another big performance in the victory over Shaw (8/25), leading the offense with 59 assists and three aces but also showed stout defense with 14 digs and a match-high five block assists. Nicolai's 59 assists are the second-most by a freshman in program history and the most since Megan Bedner recorded 62 on Nov. 1, 2006.
