Bill Morosco enters his third season as head coach of the Lynn University men's basketball program in 2026-27 after engineering one of the most successful turnarounds in recent program history.
In two seasons at the helm, Morosco has guided the Fighting Knights to 39 victories, including a 21-9 campaign in 2024-25 that culminated in the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2018-19. Lynn followed that breakthrough season with an 14-14Â record in 2025-26, earning consecutive winning seasons while continuing to compete among the Sunshine State Conference's top programs.
During the 2025-26 season, Morosco led the Fighting Knights to an 14-14Â overall record and a berth in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament. Lynn featured one of the conference's most balanced offenses while developing a deep and experienced roster. The Fighting Knights remained one of the league's most competitive teams throughout the season, recording key conference victories and continuing the program's upward trajectory.
Morosco made an immediate impact in his debut season in 2024-25, leading Lynn to a 21-9 overall record and a 14-6 mark in Sunshine State Conference play. The Fighting Knights advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament while setting multiple program single-season records, including scoring average (88.3 points per game), three-pointers made (391), total rebounds (1,241), rebounding average (41.4 per game), and scoring margin (+11.9).
Known for his ability to quickly build competitive, high-energy teams, Morosco has accumulated more than 130 career victories as a collegiate head coach. Prior to arriving in Boca Raton, he compiled 100 career wins across three NJCAA head coaching stops, earning 20 or more victories in his first season at each institution.
Before Lynn, Morosco spent two seasons at Indian River State College (2021-23), where he guided the Pioneers to 49 victories and consecutive NJCAA South Atlantic District Quarterfinal appearances. In 2022-23, Indian River captured the Southern Conference Championship and Morosco earned Southern Conference Coach of the Year honors while recording his 100th career coaching victory.
In 2021-22, Morosco led Garden City Community College to a program-best 22-10 record, the highest national ranking in school history (No. 12), and a trip to the NJCAA Region VI Tournament semifinals. That team produced the KJCCC Player of the Year and a First Team All-American.
His head coaching career began at Independence Community College (2019-21), where he revitalized the program and won 23 games in his first season, the school's highest win total in nearly a decade. Independence earned national rankings during both seasons under his leadership.
Morosco is also familiar with the Sunshine State Conference from his time as an assistant coach at Barry University during the 2018-19 season. The Buccaneers won 18 games and climbed as high as No. 12 in the national rankings that year.
His coaching résumé includes NCAA Division I assistant coaching experience at Presbyterian College, The Citadel, and UC Davis. During the 2014-15 season, he helped UC Davis capture the Big West Conference regular-season championship and earn the program's first postseason berth with an appearance in the NIT.
A Florida native and 2012 graduate of the University of Florida, Morosco is recognized for his relentless energy, commitment to player development, and emphasis on building a culture that succeeds both on the court and in the classroom.
Morosco resides in Boca Raton with his wife, Samantha, and their son, Billy.
