Hall of Fame coach Bruce Casagrande is in his first year as an assistant coach with the Lynn men’s lacrosse program in 2023-24. This spring, Casagrande will coach in his 750th lacrosse game and he brings four National Championships to the Fighting Knight sideline, three as a coach and one as a player.
During a career spanning six decades, Casagrande started the men’s lacrosse programs at both Vermont (1974-76) and Stony Brook (1988-90), served as the head coach at Denver (1985-88) and helped coach NY Tech (1997-06) to three National Championships.
Casagrande also has international ties to the game of lacrosse as he played professionally for the Montreal Le Quebecois (1974-76) and coached for the Luxembourg National Team (2019-20).
Casagrande earned both his bachelors degree (physical education) and masters (health education) from SUNY Cortland and his doctorate from Denver in higher education.
He is a member of the Cortland Lacrosse Legends Club and the NY Tech Hall of Fame.
