Biography

Sophomore (2017): Transitioned into a starting defender role as a sophomore, playing in 12 games with 11 starts…led the team with 12 caused turnovers, tied for the fifth-best single-season mark in program history…ranked 11th in the SSC in caused turnovers per game…recorded 12 ground balls on the year…logged two caused turnovers in each of the first three games of the season…posted three ground balls and two caused turnovers in the season opener vs. Lees-McRae (2/11)…had two caused turnovers and two ground balls in the win over #8 Adelphi (2/18)...earned SSC Commissioner Honor Roll recognition for earning a 3.2 grade point average or better.

Freshman (2016): Saw action in the defense in 13 games during his inaugural season…posted seven ground balls and ranked sixth on the team with eight caused turnovers…made his collegiate debut at #12 Mount Olive (2/27)…registered two caused turnovers and a ground ball at both Coker (2/29) and vs. #5 Tampa (3/19)...earned SSC Commissioner Honor Roll recognition for earning a 3.2 grade point average or better. 

High School: Played as a defender at Jupiter High School where he was a three-time first team all-region and four-time first team all-district selection.

Personal: Born September 17, 1996…son of Tim and Mary Flanary…has two sisters Megan and Lizzy…biology major...enjoys swimming deep into the ocean and spearfishing.
