Charles Kenward was announced as Lynn University’s assistant strength and conditioning coach in the spring of 2023. Kenward’s sport assignments will be announced at a later date.
 
Kenward came to Lynn after serving as the Head Olympic Strength Coach and interim Head Football Strength Coach at Eastern New Mexico University during the fall and early spring of 2022-23. His primary sport assignments were men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer track & field and cross country.
 
At ENMU, Kenward created and implemented performance plans for the teams and student-athletes, designed and implemented on-field workouts for football and assessed student-athlete needs by developing individualized training programs to improve strengths. He worked with athletic training to help with student-athlete rehabilitation and to assist with return-to-play protocols.
 
Prior to ENMU, Kenward served as a strength and conditioning professional intern at UTSA for two years. He was the Head Strength Coach for cheerleading and assisted the football, men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s tennis teams.
 
He developed the strength programs and managed workouts for the cheerleading program, while helping with the strength training, speed and agility workouts and recovery sessions for his remaining sport assignments.
 
Kenward also served as a personal training supervisor for UTSA Campus Recreation from 2019-2021. He is a National Strength and Condition Association (NSCA) – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach and is American Heart Association – Heartsaver First AidCPR AED certified. He is currently pursuing his NSCA – Certified Performance and Sport Scientist license.
 
Kenward earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology-Exercise Science from Univ. of Texas-San Antonio in 2021 and he earned his master’s degree in Health and Kinesiology-Kinesiology Specialization from UT-San Antonio in 2022.
