Junior (2014): Appeared and started all 21 games in defense…one of five players to start every match…tallied one goal and two assists for four points on 12 shot attempts…made the move to outside defender for the first time in his career, helping his team claim the Sunshine State Conference regular season title, SSC Tournament title and 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship…helped defense post a 0.99 goals against average and five shutouts, third best in the SSC…notched assists in back-to-back games, picking up an assist on the first goal of a 4-1 victory against Shorter (9/12) and then earning the game-winning assist in a 1-0 win over Lee (9/13)…scored the opening goal nine minutes into play against Florida Tech (11/9) as Lynn won 3-2 to claim the SSC Championship crown… earned SSC Commissioner Honor Roll recognition for earning a 3.2 grade point average or better.
Sophomore (2013): Played at UNC Pembroke…named NCCSIA All-State…started 15 games in defense for the Braves…tallied four goals, one assist and nine points with one game-winning goal…part of a defense which posted a 1.32 goals-against average, which was fifth in the Peach Belt Conference, and five shutouts…was tied for second in goals and third in points…tallied one multi-goal game…opened the season with a pair of goals in a 3-1 victory over Newberry (9/5)…scored the game-winner in a 1-0 thriller over Mars Hill (9/8), setting a career-high for goals scored and points in a season…turned in the game-winning assist in a 3-0 win against Georgia Southwestern (9/14)…found the back of the net for the last time at PBC Champions Young Harris (10/26) in a 5-2 defeat.
Freshman (2012): Played at UNC Pembroke…named an All-Peach Belt Conference team, NCCSIA All-State team and was a member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll and was named Defensive Player of the Week on September 10 … As a defender, he played in 17 games with 17 starts to his credit to record 1542 minutes on the field … Finished the season with five points as he notched two goals and one assist … Recorded two goals in the 6-0 shutout victory over Georgia Southwestern … Posted the first goal in the 11th minute and then only four minutes later, he collected his second goal of the game and season … Also notched his solo assist to teammate Sam Miles in the 14th minute in the match against the Hurricanes … Took 13 shots, five of which (.385) were on goal … Registered a season-high three shots against Georgia Southwestern and Mars Hill … Notched two shots in the contest against Chowan and one shot in the matches with Mount Olive, Anderson, Barton, North Georgia and USC Aiken … Assisted in holding Mount Olive, Wingate, Georgia Southwestern, Barton and Pfeiffer to less than 10 shots during the game … Helped UNCP post 10 shutouts during the season … UNCP was second in the PBC in goals-against average (0.72) and only allowed 14 goals which was also second in the league … The defense held opponents to a .051 shot percentage … Recorded 110 minutes in the standstill contest with Mars Hill and in the loss to Flagler in the second round of the NCAA Tournament … Contributed to this season’s school record in number of goals in a single game (10) and largest margin of victory (10) against Chowan, and minimum shots allowed in a game (3) against Barton … Helped UNCP rank fourth in save percentage (0.861), ninth in shutout percentage (0.53), 12th in team goals against average (0.72), 18th in total assists (39) and 25th in scoring offense (2.26) in the nation … Contributed to the squad matching its third-best finish in 20 years (NCAA Division II era) with 12 wins … Helped the Braves make history in 2012 as they advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament for the first time in 10 years.
High School: Prepped at St. Mary’s under coach Horgan in his senior year and coach Concannon in junior season … During his senior campaign, he captained the team to the provincial finals but suffered a loss in the final game of the Inter-Provincial Tournament … Played in all eight games and scored two goals as a defender … As a junior, he played in all 10 games and scored three goals , while playing in all three game in the Inter-Provincial Tournament to help the team become provincial and national champions … Played club soccer from Mervue United AFC under coach Johnny Glynn and scored one goal in his nine games played … Played the entire game for Ireland’s U18 team against Wales.
