Keith Larson

Keith Larson was named the head women's golf coach for Lynn University after serving as men's assistant golf coach from 2019-22 and women's assistant coach from 2020-22. He was instrumental in the success of both programs during a 2021-2022 campaign that saw both squads reach the NCAA Regionals, with the women securing a quarterfinal finish at the NCAA Championships.

Lynn finished the 2023-24 season ranked No. 8 in the country by the Scoreboard Rankings powered by clippd. The Fighting Knights won the World Golf Invitational and finished runner-up at both the UIndy Fall Invitational and the NCAA DII South Regional. The Blue & White capped the season with fourth place at the NCAA DII National Championship, along with a 2-2-1 tie against Findlay in the quarterfinals of the National Championship – Medal Match Play. Lynn finished ’23-24 campaign with 10 top-five finishes and 12 top-10 finishes.

In 2022-23, the Fighting Knight women won nine tournaments in 13 events, including the SSC Championship by 20 strokes and the NCAA South Region Championship by 12 shots. Larson was named the SSC Coach of the Year and the NCAA Division II South Region Coach the Year, both for the first time. Lynn was ranked No. 1 in the nation for 22 weeks and capped the season in the Final Four of the NCAA National Championship. Maria Hoyos was named the PING National Player of the Year after winning five tournaments and setting numerous program records. A two-time All-American, Hoyos led the Fighting Knights to a program and nation's best team scoring average of 291. Lynn capped the 2022-23 season with four total All-Americans.

Larson was part of a 2019-20 men's golf staff that guided the team to three wins in their seven events.
At the Miami Intercollegiate at Doral, the group finished with a five-under par total of 835, and recorded an even-par team total of 576 at the Newberry College Invitational at Kiawah Island Ocean. The Fighting Knights finished the pandemic-shortened season with an impressive 30-under par, 14-shot victory in the Division I-hosted Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate at Fort Lauderdale Country Club that saw the team shoot 834.   

The spring of 2019 marked Larson's arrival at Lynn as men’s assistant coach, a campaign where the team won four of their eight tournaments including the Matlock Invitational at Lone Palm CC with a 9-under par 855, and the Bobcat Intercollegiate at Cuscowilla Golf Club where they finished with a score of 854. The men earned a post-season berth and won the Division II South/Southeast Regional at Mission Inn Golf Club with a nine-shot victory, propelling them to the NCAA Division II National Championship. The group was victorious in all three match play contests, claiming their second straight National Championship. 

Prior to joining the Fighting Knights, Larson served as the assistant coach for the men's and women's golf teams at Seattle University.

A native of the pacific northwest, Larson brings over 13 years of coaching experience to the Lynn golf programs. For eight years, he was head men's and women's golf coach at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, Calif., and spent nine years as a master instructor at Greg Coplin Golf School in Burlingame, Calif. Larson was also a master instructor at the Jim McLean Golf School at PGA West Resort in La Quinta, Calif. for three years.

The Washington State University alum has also conducted numerous instructional and coaching clinics all around the world, including in Mexico City, Thailand, Japan, and China.
