Biography
Senior (2017-18): Only player to start all 27 games on the season...averaged 6.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 30.4 minutes per game...led the team in free-throw percentage, assists and assists per game...one of two players to average more than 30 minutes per game...posted career-high marks in scoring, rebounding and assists while doubling her assist-to-turnover ratio...career-high 14 points against Palm Beach Atlantic (2/7/18)...career-high 14 rebounds against Shaw (12/18/17)...sixth-most assists in a single game in program history (11) against Keiser (11/20/17)...was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line against Palm Beach Atlantic (2/7/18)...earned SSC Commissioner Honor Roll recognition for earning a 3.2 grade point average or better.
Junior (2016-17): Appeared in 27 games with 21 starts for the Fighting Knights...averaged 5.7 points per game on 38.8% shooting...added 4.8 rebounds per game to go along with 1.8 assists per contest...second on the team in minutes played this season with 29.7 minutes per contest...scored her season high in points (12) in a loss to Florida Southern on Jan. 4...earned SSC Commissioner Honor Roll recognition for earning a 3.2 grade point average or better.
(2015-16): Did not particpate in any contests...student manager on the men's basketball team...earned SSC Commissioner Honor Roll recognition for earning a 3.2 grade point average or better.
Sophomore (2014-15 at Mercyhurst): Played in 24 games, while starting in 22 of them…led the team in assists (81)…had a double-double at Millersville (12/20) when she scored 11 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and dropped a season high eight assists…put up a season high of 13 points against Slippery Rock (1/10).
Freshman (2013-14 at Mercyhurst): Competed in 26 games, making 14 starts…averaged 5.2 points and ranked second on the team with 2.9 assists per game…made her first collegiate start against Findlay (11/16)…put up a season-high 16 points on 3-of-5 shooting vs. Seton Hill (11/20)…collected first college double-double with 15 points and career-high 13 boards at Pitt-Johnstown (1/25), earning PSAC Western Division Freshman of the Week.
High School: Attended Bethel Park High where she played basketball, track and field, and volleyball…helped team win 2012-13 WPIAL basketball title as a senior.
Personal: Born October 7, 1994…daughter of Nora and Steve Penascino…has two siblings; Adara and Isaac…psychology/criminal justice major…enjoys dancing in her spare time.
