Softball Falls To Nova Southeastern

Davie, Fla. – Lynn University's softball team fell to Nova Southeastern, 9-0, on Thursday night in a Sunshine State Conference matchup at the AD Griffin Sports Complex.  The Fighting Knights fall to 10-35 on the season and 5-14 in the SSC while the Sharks improve to 29-18 with a 7-12 mark in league play.

LU was unable to capitalize on three NSU miscues and left six runners on base in the game.  The Blue & White put a pair of runners on in the first and fourth innings but were unable to score.  Katrina Lavadan and Mandi Brown both reached on errors in the first while Carisa Cook and Kasey Murray both recorded singles in the fourth.

Callie Darlin allowed five earned runs on nine hits in the loss and Lexi Sarradet allowed just two hits and struck out seven for the Sharks.

The same two teams will meet tomorrow for a 5 pm doubleheader.  Fans can follow the action by logging onto LynnFightingKnights.com and selecting "Game Central."
