Women's Tennis Throttles Tritons

BOCA RATON, Fla.—Lynn University's top-ranked women's tennis team flew through the Eckerd College Tritons on Saturday with a 9-0 throttling.

Lynn (6-0, 3-0) remains perfect on the season as six of the twelve singles sets were won by a 6-0 margin.

In the top singles flight, No. 5 Ioana Ivan and Sabine Krause defeatedGipson Hawn and Erika Fridrik 8-0 as the Fighting Knights' number two doubles duo of Ana Kriz and Kim Przeszlowski went 8-2 over Staphanie Jenks and Amy Naula.

Andrea Berkova and Aleks Vukadinovic teamed up to drop the Triton's number three team of Katie Benn and Carson Trapp 8-1.

Two of Lynn's singles players posted straight 6-0 wins as No. 30 Krause went 6-0, 6-0 over Trapp at number three singles and Przeszlowski won 6-0, 6-0 over Fridrik at five singles.

In the top singles flight, No. 5 Ivan only dropped one game as she pulled a 6-1, 6-0 win against Jenks. Berkova played at number two singles and won 6-2, 6-3 over Hawn.

Kriz also only lost one game in the fourth singles flight as she rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Naula. At number six singles, Vukadinovic collected a 6-0, 6-2 "W" against Benn.

Berkova, Ivan, Kriz and Vukadinovic all improve to a perfect 6-0 in singles play while the No. 5 team of Ivan/Krause moves to 6-0 in doubles for the season.
