Boca Raton, Fla.- Lynn University's men's tennis team fell 5-0 to Armstrong Atlantic on Sunday afternoon. The Fighting Knights, ranked third nationally, fell to the top Division II team in the nation and defending national champions, to
move to 14-3 on the season. The Pirates, who were coming off their first loss of the season, handed to them by Barry University, took a 3-0 lead over Lynn after doubles play.
The weather was no help as winds measuring up to 20 MPH paralyzed both teams on the court, for difficult weather conditions. Willi Wolfer, ranked fourth nationally, lost be retirement to No. 9 Matus Mydia, for the Knights to trail 4-0. Pavel Mojha's loss in two sets of 6-2 would give Armstrong their fifth and final point.
AASU's number one doubles team of Georgi Rumenov and Daniel Regan, who hold the top spot in DII tennis, took Wolfer and Vlad Cirla in a tougt 8-6 set. Wolfer and Cirla, rank fourth nationally.
