MIAMI SHORES, Fla.-Lynn Universityís men's basketball team fell, 77-55, to Barry University in Wednesday nightís Sunshine State Conference match-up. Lynn moves to 7-9 overall and 1-5 in SSC play. Aaron Harrison led the Fighting Knights with 20 points and two steals while Haki Stampley and Fred Landers chipped in with eight points apiece.

 

The Fighting Knights came out slow in the opening period allowing The Bucs (12-3, 3-3 SSC) to control the pace of the game. Lynn answered back in the fifth minute when Harrison put up a huge dunk to take the lead of the game for the first time, 6-4. Although the Blue and White had many opportunities to shoot, they couldnít get a good look due to the relentless pressure of BU's defense, holding the Blue and White to shoot only 29.2 percent from the field and forcing 10 turnovers. 

 

Harrison put up six points in the first half while Landers had five points and two rebounds.

 

Although Lynn put up a good fight in the second period, scoring 35 of its points, the Fighting Knights were unable to recover from the first half deficit. Lynn outshot the Bucs from the field, 46.4 percent to 45.8 percent. The Blue and White also held the advantage from the charity stripe, shooting 85.7 percent to BUís 72.2 percent.
