Box Score

Winter Park, Fla.- Lynn University's women's soccer team dropped a non-conference match to 11th-ranked Rollins on Saturday evening. The 4-0 loss sets Lynn at 2-3-0 overall while the Tars advance to 5-1-0. Lynn's goalkeeper Caitlin Shaver set a career record in saves with 12.

Rollins took an early lead in the second minute when Mora Johnson found the back of the net off a rebound from Paxton Sickler. The Tars extended their lead 12 minutes later when Mackenzie Miller went one-on-one with Lynn's goalkeeper Caitlin Shaver. Brenna McKee and Emma Jones were both credited with assists on the goal.

Shaver turned away 10 of Rollins' 20 shots in the first half. The Fighting Knights edged Rollins 2-1 in corner kicks in the opening 45 minutes but were unable to find their way past Rollin's keeper Mary Spring.

Rollins added two more goals in the second half, the first off a cross from Kat Weiss in which Brenna McKee settled the ball and flicked it over Shaver's head. Emma Jones added a goal in the 62nd minute just before the sky opened up for a downpour. Jones' third goal of the season was a header of a corner kick from Sickler.

The Tars outshot Lynn 30-8 as Shaver made a career-high 12 saves in net. Rollins took five corner kicks in the second half holding Lynn to zero edging them 6-2 overall in the match.
