St. Augustine, Fla. – Needing to overcome a 2-1 deficit after doubles play, Lynn University's fifth-ranked women's tennis team took five of six singles matches to knock-off Flagler 6-3 on Monday afternoon.  Valentine Confalonieri and Rosalie Willig combined to win three of the team's points in helping the Fighting Knights win their fourth straight to improve to 8-1 overall.

Confalonieri and Willig gave the Blue & White an early 1-0 lead with a decisive 8-2 victory at the top doubles position.  But Flagler (4-4) came away on top following doubles play with 8-5 and 8-3 wins at the Nos. 2 & 3 doubles positions.

The Saints were then able to put Lynn in a huge 3-1 deficit when Kelly Stewart won 6-0 and 6-1 at No. 5 singles.  Confalonieri keyed the Fighting Knights' comeback with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 1 while Caroline Cuevas knotted the score at three with a 6-1, 6-3 win at the fourth position.

Lynn carried the match with Willig winning 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 2 spot, Martina Gledacheva topping her opponent 6-3, 6-3 and Grace Mpassy earning a 6-3, 6-1 victory in the final singles position.
