HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A scoreless tie was broken in the 22nd minute by Florida Southern's Kylie Harris after her shot from 22-yards out sailed just under the crossbar.
- Lynn answered with a flurry of shots but Mocs keeper Helena Norrstrom turned each away to keep Florida Southern's lead.
- The Fighting Knights found themselves down 2-0 in the 54th minute after a defender headed in a free kick into their own goal.
- For the second consecutive match, Georgia Robert saw a long-distance attempt hit off the crossbar. The senior defender dribbled through the Mocs midfield and launched a shot which ricocheted off the underside of the crossbar.
STATS OF THE GAME:
- Lynn outshot Florida Southern 13-6 and held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
- Alexa Downie stopped three shots while Mocs goal keepers Helena Norrstrom and Paige Koetter.
