Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. – Loreana Lonigro's first career goal for the Lynn University women's soccer program was answered by Tampa in the late stages of the match as the two teams drew 1-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Bobby Campbell Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The defensive line of Gabriela Moriera, Georgia Robert, Anna Shawley and Amanda Torres proved critical in the first half of play as they controlled the tempo of the match and shut down the Spartans offense, preventing them from registering a single shot.
- The Fighting Knights came out aggressive into the second period, putting up two shots in the first six minutes of the half.
- Tampa would create their first chance of the in the 56th minute when Hailey Pigott took a shot just outside the box that went high of the net.
- Just seven minutes after making her second half appearance, Loreana Lonigro would score her first goal for Lynn off a Caroline Duerr assist. Duerr whipped a cross into the box that the keeper couldn't handle and Lonigro was there on the rebound to slot into the lower left side of the goal.
- With three minutes left in regulation the Spartans would answer back from a set piece 35-yards out. Natasia Asgedom began the play with a pass out to Sarah Raymond, who crossed the ball into the middle of the box where Ali Robinson was able to head the ball into the left side of the goal.
- In a two-minute span in the first extra time period, three Fighting Knights (Emma Portsmouth, Claudia Kraut and Donish Cole) attempted shots that ended high or wide of the goal.
- Tampa's lone chance in the overtime periods came off a Gabby Scirica shot with three minutes left in the match that was blocked by the Lynn defense.
STAT OF THE GAME:
- The Fighting Knights edged Tampa 17-4 in shots.
- Caroline Duerr's assist marked her third of the season.
- The Spartans edged Lynn in corner kicks (4-1) and saves (4-0).
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- This marks the first time in the matchup's history that the two teams ended a match in a draw.
