HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Game 1
- A two-out error by Lynn in the top of the fourth kept the frame alive and Rollins took advantage with a RBI double and two-run single to go ahead 3-0.
- A pair of RBI singles by the Tars in the fifth added to Lynn's deficit, making it a 5-0 game.
- Rollins drove in its final run in the top of the seventh with a RBI double.
- Game 2
- Rachel Lightner ran into minor trouble in the opening inning, loading the bases through the first three batters but the freshman hurler surrendering only one run on a sacrifice fly, putting the Tars ahead 1-0.
- Lynn threatened in the fifth with runners on second and one out but could not bring a runner home off a ground out and pop out.
- Rollins increased its lead to 3-0 with a run in the sixth and another in the seventh, the last of which proved to be the game-winner.
- Back to back doubles from Amanda Casillas and Geena Capitini to start the seventh gave Lynn its first run of the series.
- A pair of Tars wild pitches plated Capitini and brought home Lynn's second run of the inning and made the game 3-2.
STATS FROM THE GAME:
- Katelyn Key (6-8) gave up five runs, two earned, on seven hits with two walks over 4.2 innings pitched.
- Francais Olexa allowed one run on three hits in 2.1 innings of relief.
- Niki Fogle pitched a second consecutive complete game shutout with six strikeouts.
- Rachel Lightner (2-4) fanned one batter and gave up three runs on 10 hits in the second contest.
- Geena Capitini went 2-for-3 with a RBI.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Capitini drove in the only run of the series for Lynn.
- Lightner pitched her fourth complete game in five starts this year.
