BOCA RATON, Fla. – The third-ranked Lynn University women's tennis team cruised past St. Thomas on Wednesday night, 9-0, in the first match of the new season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- All three of the Blue and White doubles squads posted 8-1 victories to open up the match.
- Quick wins at No. 2 and 3 singles from Rosalie Willig and Diana Bogolii respectively clinched the match for the Fighting Knights.
- At the top singles spot, Grace Mpassy got past Cassandra Lemieux in straight sets.
- Already with six team points, Martina Gledacheva (No. 4), Stefanie Stemmer (No. 5) and Tereza Hejlova (No. 6) secured eight-game pro-set victories to conclude the season opener.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- In total games won throughout the night, Lynn bested STU 84-11.
- Lynn has faced St. Thomas in each of its last six season openers.
