Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn softball team utilized Francais Olexa's third complete game of the season, shutting out the Barry Buccaneers, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon. This victory is good for the first series sweep in Sunshine State Conference action in the 2017 campaign.

STATS of THE GAME:
- Olexa led the way for the Fighting Knights, gaining her third victory on the young season (3-1), and she also did damage with her bat, going 2-for-4 at the plate and knocked in one run to add fuel to the offensive fire.
- Leanne Wright and Karolina Flores led the way at the plate for the Blue and White, each going a perfect 3-for-3. Victoria Rios tied Olexa with two hits on the day. Also getting base-knocks were Mackenzie Wyatt, Madison White and Shayle Arenson.
- Six different members of the home squad recorded one RBI, with Flores the only one to record two.
- Each of Flores' hits went for extra bases, recording a double and triple on the day.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Not only was this Olexa's third complete game of the season, but it was her second complete game shutout of the year after pitching her second complete game against Barry on Friday.
- Six different members of the home squad recorded one RBI, with Flores the only one to record two.
- The SSC series sweep is the first of its kind in the 2017 season, with the previous occasion occurring at Eckerd College March 27-28 of the 2015 season.
- The last time the Blue and White recorded a SSC sweep at home was against Eckerd College in 2004.
- This weekend was the first time that the softball program swept interconference-rival Barry University.
- The Fighting Knights hold a significant home-field advantage at this point in the season, holding a 4-1 record at the Lynn Softball Field.
