Box Score Lakeland, Fla. – A last inning comeback was short-lived as Lynn University's softball team fell 4-3 to Florida Southern in Sunshine State Conference action Friday night. The Fighting Knights took a 3-2 lead in the top of the seventh only to see the Moccasins connected on back-to-back triples and end the game with a sacrifice fly.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Madison White belted her first home run of the season in the fifth inning to get Lynn on the scoreboard. She finished 1-for-3.
- Lynn started its rally in the top of the seventh when Karolina Flores led off with a double. She closed out the game 1-for-3.
- Victoria Rios knotted the game 2-2 with a base hit up the middle and Shayle Arenson gave the Blue & White their first lead of the game with another single.
- Rios was 1-for-3 while Arenson went 2-for-3 with a stolen base.
- Francais Olexa allowed four runs, two earned, on eight hits over 6.1 innings in dropping to 3-2 on the year.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- White's home run was the fourth of her career.
- Olexa tossed her fifth complete game of the year and 31st of her career.
- Arenson logged her second multi-hit game of the season and first since Feb. 4.
- Both Flores and Rios extended their hitting streaks to six and five games.
- Florida Southern was playing its first 'home' game at its temporary home, the Auburndale Softball Complex.
