Box Score 2 Auburndale, Fla. – Down but not out, Lynn University's softball team came back in both games Saturday afternoon, eventually completing the double-header sweep 3-2, 2-1 over Florida Southern. Kayla Sheffield tossed the first complete game of her career in front of her hometown family and friends as the Fighting Knights moved atop the Sunshine State Conference standings.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Game 1
- Florida Southern grabbed the early 2-0 lead but Lynn battled back with three runs combined in the fifth and sixth innings to claim the victory.
- The top of the lineup did a lot of damage with both Francais Olexa and Mackenzie Wyatt each going 2-for-4 with a RBI.
- Karolina Flores and Victoria Rios each logged hits in going 1-for-4 apiece.
- Erin Sundook, Shayle Arenson and Sara Vazquez scored Lynn's three runs.
- Katelyn Key tossed seven innings for the complete game, allowing two runs on six hits with one walk and strikeout to improve to 3-1 overall.
- Game 2
- For the third time in the series, Florida Southern grabbed the early lead with a RBI single in the third inning.
- Lynn battled back late in the game, plating two runs on a Mocs throwing error, scoring Olexa and Wyatt.
- Sheffield allowed only one run on eight hits with one walk in her first career Sunshine State Conference start.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Key has two complete games this season, both victories in conference play.
- Sheffield earned her first career complete game. She is now 2-1 with a 1.12 earned-run average in three starts this year.
- Lynn has taken two out of three games from Florida Southern in each of the last two road series.
