BOCA RATON, Fla. – The third-ranked Lynn University women's tennis team saw its first test of the season on Sunday but came out on top over 14th-ranked Valdosta State, 8-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn's top two doubles squads got the ball rolling before Martina Gledacheva and Tereza Hejlova battled for an 8-7 victory at No. 3 to give the Fighting Knights the doubles sweep.
- 12th-ranked Diana Bogolii (No. 3) and Gledacheva (No. 4) made quick work of their opponents in singles to clinch the match for the Blue and White.
- Shortly after, VSU notched its lone point of the match in a three-set nationally-ranked battle at the top flight.
- Rosalie Willig fought back from a first-set defeat for a 3-6, 7-6, 6-3 victory at No. 2.
- Stefanie Stemmer and Hejlova closed out the action with straight-set wins at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Lynn lost an individual match for the first time this season.
