Bradenton, Fla. – Lynn University's women's tennis team was off to a good start Saturday afternoon in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament Championship match, building a 2-1 lead through doubles play before the rain started. After a short delay, singles competition has been postponed until tomorrow morning, Sunday, April 23 at 10 a.m.
The Fighting Knights started off the match with a 2-0 lead, taking No. 2 doubles 8-3, and No. 3 doubles, 8-5. Lynn fought back at No. 1 doubles after being down 6-1 but couldn't catch the Barry squad in an 8-6 setback.
