BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University women's soccer team hung tough through the first half against No. 8 West Florida on Friday night at Bobby Campbell Stadium, though a pair of second-half goals sealed the victory for the visiting side.

• The visiting Argonauts broke into the score column late in the first half, as Grace Busby tallied an unassisted goal with a shot lofted over the keeper's head from outside the 18-yard box.
• West Florida's Deneisha Blackwood scored each of her team's goals in the second half, striking in the 48th and 67th minutes to cushion the Argonauts' lead.
• Shantell Thompson assisted on each of Blackwood's goals for West Florida.
• The Fighting Knights had early scoring chances, as Loreana Lonigro and Gabriela Moriera had back-to-back shots turned away from inside the box in the 22nd minute.
• Alexa Downie stopped five shots in the loss, a plateau she reached nine times in 16 games a season ago.
