STATS OF THE GAME:

  • A late first-half goal off the foot of Jamie Perriello sent the Fighting Knights into the break with a one-goal edge, as she knocked home a loose ball inside the six-yard box with just 29 seconds to play in the opening 45 minutes.
  • Donish Henry-Cole provided what turned out to be the game-winning goal in the 58th minute, when she carried the ball from the right side across the top of the box and let go a left-footed rocket that froze the keeper to double the lead to 2-0.
  • With time dwindling at the end of game, Eckerd increased its offensive pressure. The Tritons managed to cut the lead to just one goal with 1:07 to play in the game when Paula Astiazaran collected a ball in the six-yard box and fired it into the back of the net.
