STATS OF THE GAME:
- Savannah Jackson wasted absolutely no time getting the Fighting Knights on the scoreboard when she blasted one into the top part of the net in the 4th minute. It was her fifth goal of the season, and it set the tone for the rest of the game. Jackson recorded the first three shots of the match for Lynn.
- In the 36th minute, Sankoh lined up for penalty shot, which was turned away on a miraculous save by Saint Leo keeper Maitane Bravo. However, Sankoh followed up her shot and blasted the rebound into the back of the net for her 12th goal of the season.
- Just three minutes later, Sankoh scored her second goal of the game off a beautiful pass from Dorthea Glorud. The goal was Sankohs' 13th of the season and put her average back above one goal per game. It was Glorud's first assist of the year.
- In the 42nd minute, the Lions had their best opportunity of the game when Nina Mueller attempted a penalty kick. But Lynn keeper Sofia Manner was up to the task and was able to punch the ball away to keep the clean sheet. Manner would end the game with five saves.
- Fresh off the bench, Alyssa Alarcon found the back of the net in the 44th minute for her first goal as a Fighting Knight. The goal put the Fighting Knights up 4-0 heading into the halftime break.
- In the second half, Sankoh kept up her absolutely incredible play when she found the back of the net twice in less than a minute. The first goal came off a corner from Sophia Hontzas in the 74th minute. She followed it up with a goal where she did it all by herself in the 75th minute. The goal came barely 30 seconds after her third.
- Lynn's defense held strong to seal the deal and give the Fighting Knights their fourth conference win of the season.
