Boca Raton, Florida - Anniina Sankoh found the back to net three times, as the Fighting Knights defeated Delta State 3-0 in their home opener. The victory was their first of the season.

STATS OF THE GAME:

• Sankoh scored her first goal in the 14th minute, and then followed it up with a successful penalty kick in the 25th. She completed the hat trick in the 73rd minute when she received a beautiful pass from Savannah Jackson who was credited with the assist.
• Lynn dominated all facets of Sunday morning's game. They outshot Delta State 17-3 over the course of the contest. The Statesmen were only able to put one shot on goal, while the Fighting Knights were able to put up eight.
• Sofia Manner wasn't challenged often in the game thanks to some great defensive play, but when the ball found its way to her, she was able to turn it away without a problem. This was the first shutout of Manner's Lynn career.
• Jackson and Emma Nuutinen each put up two shots and one shot on goal.
• The Fighting Knights recorded seven corner kicks to Delta State's three.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

• Sankoh currently leads the SSC in goals (5), goals per game (1.67), points (10) and points per game (3.33).
• Jackson is tied for third in the conference in assists (2).
• Many Fighting Knights made their regular-season debuts today. In all, 26 Lynn players saw action in the game.
