Lynn men shutout Palm Beach Atlantic at home

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Senior Michael Knoetzinger and graduate Kyle Patton each scored as the Lynn men's soccer team downed Palm Beach Atlantic in Sunshine State Conference play, Wednesday.
 
The Fighting Knights pushed their overall record to 4-3-5 with a 4-0-2 slate in the last six matches.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn outshot the Sailfish 8-6 during the match, but both teams attempted three shots in the opening half
- Junior Patrick O'Halloran had Lynn's only shot on the goal in the opening stanza when his low shot in the 15th minute was turned away by PBA keeper Guillermo Falo
- Just over six minutes into the second stanza, Lynn got on the board as a foul was called on Palm Beach Atlantic inside the box and Knoetzinger scored on the PK for a 1-0 lead
- In the 58th minute, Patton sent an unassisted tally into the net for a quick 2-0 lead for the Fighting Knights
- Lynn keeper Luca Clavero notched two saves following Patton's goal to help keep the Sailfish off the scoreboard
- Clavero finished with three saves for his fourth win and fourth shutout of the season
