Lynn earns draw with Florida Tech

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Lynn University and Florida Tech played to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday in a Sunshine State Conference meeting at Rick Stottler Field.
 
The draw pulls the Fighting Knights record to 1-3-5 overall on the season and a 1-2-2 mark in the league.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn held a commanding lead in shots during the match (11-6), but the Panthers put all six of their attempts on net, while the Fighting Knights had just four shots on goal
- Fighting Knight keeper Luca Clavero made three saves in the opening half of action in the 28th, 40th and 41st minutes. Lynn's defense also cleared a shot off the backline in the 19th minute that kept Tech off the scoreboard
- Senior Raul Varela Hernandez forced a tough save on Lynn's only shot of the opening half that was turned away by Tech keeper Luis Tovar Romero
- Clavero notched two more saves in the second half in the 86th and 89th minutes
- Graduate student Moritz Lusch had a shot that was saved in the 56th minute, graduate Kyle Patton had a shot saved in the 66th minute and senior Michael Knoetzinger had a shot turned away at 80:43
- Clavero finished with five saves, while Knoetzinger led the Fighting Knights with five shots
