BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University scored just 21 seconds into its match with Eckerd and the Fighting Knights rode that momentum to a 5-2 win over the visiting Tritons, Saturday evening.
The five goals are a season-high for the Fighting Knights as they improve to 4-6 overall and 2-4 in the league.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn scored the game's first three goals and the final two, while Eckerd scored two in the middle

Anniina Sankoh's hat trick is the sixth of her career and first since late in the 2021 campaign

Amanda Jansson scored one goal and handed out three assists
- Jansson found Sankoh for a break away goal just 21 seconds into action for a 1-0 lead
- Jansson scored the game's second goal in the 15
th minute off a crossing pass from junior Katja Orshmann
- Sankoh made it 3-0 in favor of the Fighting Knights as she dribbled back and forth and around defenders directly in front of the goal waiting for the perfect moment before capping the dance with a left-footed shot that found the net at 23:16
- Andi Wells (25:29) and Kendall Drummond (55:16) narrowed the Eckerd deficit to 3-2 just over 10 minutes into the second half
- Lynn tacked on two more goals to seal the win
- Sankoh connected on her third tally of the night in the 65
th minute off a pass from both Jansson and freshman
