JACKSON, Tenn. – Lynn University graduate student David Bauer collected his second postseason award as the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) named him to the 2022 All-South Region First Team, Tuesday morning.
 
Bauer was one of four defenders and one of just seven players from the Sunshine State Conference to garner first-team honors.
 
He started 12 games this fall and finished second on the roster in points (10), goals (4) and assists (2) and helped the Lynn defense to a 1.33 goals against average with four shutouts.
 
In a 3-3 draw with Lander in early September, Bauer had a hand in all three goals and all three scores came in the final four minutes of the second half. Bauer handed out the assist on the first Lynn goal and then scored twice to help keep the Fighting Knights from suffering a loss.
 
On senior day, Bauer scored the game-winner in a 2-0 shutout of Saint Leo.
 
Lynn finished the 2022 season with a 6-4-5 overall record that included a spot in the SSC Tournament quarterfinals.
