Jamison Evans finished with 26 points as the Lynn men's basketball team suffered a 93-85 loss on Friday night to Francis Marion.
The Fighting Knights settle at 1-3 overall on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both teams shot over 40 percent for the game. The Patriots (3-1) shot 53.0%, while Lynn finished at 44.9 percent
- Lynn turned 18 offensive rebounds into 26 second-chance points
- Francis Marion held a 56-43 lead at halftime and led by as many as 17 points early in the second half
- The Fighting Knights outscored the visitors 42-37 in the second half with six three-pointers
- Lynn pulled to within two points late in the second half with a late run

Jalen Gilmore connected on a three-pointer at 14:35 as Lynn trimmed its deficit to 67-58
- Evans converted a traditional three-point play that pulled the Fighting Knights to within six, 69-63 at 12:35
- At 9:09, Evans hit a layup to again pull the Fighting Knights to within six, 75-69
- The Patriots extended their lead back to 14 at 6:19
- Lynn made one final push for the lead with a 14-2 run over the next four minutes to pull to within two, 87-85
- Evans helped kick start the run with a three-pointer and a fast break dunk as Lynn trailed just 85-77
- Kapic hit a three-pointer with 3:44 to play and added a layup a minute later as Lynn pulled it to five, 87-82
- On the ensuing trip down the floor, Evans hit his final three of the ballgame as Lynn trimmed it to two, 87-85 with 2:05 to play
- The Fighting Knights were unable to score again and Francis Marion sealed the win with the final six points
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Kapic finished with 25 points and 14 rebounds. He was 10-of-15 from the field
- Evans contributed 24 points, four three-pointers and five rebounds
