BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University men's basketball team suffered a 112-50 loss to No. 3 ranked Nova Southeastern, Wednesday night.
The Fighting Knights settle at 1-4 overall on the season and 0-2 in the SSC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Freshman
Jimel Lane led Lynn in scoring with 15 points on 7-of-15 shooting with three rebounds
- Junior
Jamison Evans added nine points with six rebounds
- Lane and freshman
Nordin Kapic hit back-to-back layups in the opening minute of action as Lynn grabbed a 4-2 lead
- The Sharks used a 20-2 run for take a 24-6 lead with 12:09 showing on the first half clock
- Lane slammed home a dunk at 7:30 as Lynn trailed 35-14
- Evans hit a free throw with just over a minute to go in the first half to pull the Fighting Knights within 58-20 at halftime
- Lane smashed another dunk at 18:00 in the second half as the score read 60-22
- Sophomore
Montez Leath hit a three-pointer at 8:29 to cut the deficit to 95-36
- Freshman
JP Baron made a layup with 4:04 left as the scoreboard read 103-46
- Nova made a layup with 28 seconds left to set the final at 112-50
