MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Lynn University volleyball team fell behind 2-0 to Florida Tech, Friday evening, before rallying with three-consecutive wins to take the match 3-2 and keep its winning streak alive.
The Fighting Knights collected their fourth-consecutive match win and improved their overall record to 20-5. Lynn is now 12-4 in the Sunshine State Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn came out flat in the first two sets losing 25-22 and 26-24. The Fighting Knights committed 19 attack errors in the first two sets
- The final three sets were a different story entirely as Lynn totaled 44 kills, had just eight errors and hit .387. The Fighting Knights collected wins of 25-17, 25-5 and 15-9.
- Lynn finished the evening with season-highs in kills (75), digs (87) and blocks (12)
- After losing the first two sets to a pair of late scoring runs from the Panthers, Lynn trailed just once over the final three games
- The Fighting Knights posted a 4-0 run for a 7-1 lead in set three and a 5-0 run extended the lead to 16-9

Paige Barash each smacked three kills that helped Lynn turn an 18-13 lead into a 25-17 win
- Game four was dominated by the Fighting Knights as they smacked 19 kills and hit an impressive .514
- Lynn rolled to a 12-0 lead and continued the surge to a 17-1 lead

Alexis Eaves smacked a kill to seal the win for Lynn at 25-5
- The Fighting Knights trailed by one in the fifth set before a 7-0 spurt grabbed control of the game

Nadia Lindner had three kills during the run and Mazzoleni contributed one
- Lindner smacked two late kills and a service ace was the final point as Lynn completed the comeback with a 15-9 win

- Barash led all players with 21 kills and 19 digs, while Lindner contributed 14 kills and 12 digs
