DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Freshman
Nordin Kapic posted his third double-double of the season as the Lynn University men's basketball program endured a 91-77 loss, Wednesday at Embry-Riddle.
Lynn settles at 1-6 overall on the season and 0-4 in the Sunshine State Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both teams shot over 50 percent from the field in the game
- Lynn finished 29-of-58 from the floor with seven three-pointers
- The Fighting Knights were out-rebounded 36-30 and were outscored 50-34 in the paint
- Embry-Riddle opened up a 49-34 lead at the half
- Lynn outscored the Eagles 43-42 in the second period and closed the contest on a 9-0 run
- The Eagles jumped out to a 15-4 lead just over five minutes into the game
- Junior
Jamison Evans pulled the Fighting Knights within nine, 15-9 at 13:56 with a jumper
- The Eagles pushed their lead to 18, but Kapic hit a layup to close the gap 13, 37-24 with 5:02 left in the first
- Lynn opened the second half with six-straight points that narrowed the deficit to 49-40 at 18:02
- Embry-Riddle increased the lead to 19 and extended the lead to a game-high 24, 85-61 with 6:04 to play before Lynn's 9-0 run closed the evening
