St. Leo, Florida – After a tough series against PBA, the Fighting Knights returned to play against the Lions. Facing the leader in the SSC in strikeouts, the Fighting Knights struggled to find success, losing 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• To start the game for the Fighting Knights, in the bottom of the first, Faith Miller recorded her first strikeout of the game.
• In the second inning, the Lions started their scoring. After a double to start the inning, they tacked on three runs on four hits to go up 3-0.
• Miller added another K in the third, but the Lions added two more runs to extend their lead 5-0.
• Miller recorded her final K in the bottom of the fourth before St. Leo went up 6-0.
• The Lions extended their lead further in the bottom of the sixth on a home run off of Josey Sumpter who came in relief in the fourth.
• Sumpter proceeded to add two strikeouts later in the bottom of the sixth.
• Miller finished with three Ks and six runs allowed in 3.2IP.
• Sumpter ended with two Ks and one run allowed in 2.1IP.
