HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was a dominant start to the 2022 season for the men's tennis team as they took care of Florida National 7-0 and didn't drop a set in the match.
- In doubles, Ignacio Martinez and Will Kirkman took home 6-1 victory, while Lucca Baptista and Diego Gonzalez won 6-2. Dan Kaplun and Ryan Neale won 5-4 after their opponents dropped out.
- Gonzalez played first singles and won his match 6-3, 6-4, while Martinez won second singles 6-4, 6-2.
- Baptista won third singles 6-3, 6-2.
- In fourth, fifth and sixth singles, the Fighting Knights absolutely dominated the Conquistadors. They outscored Florida National by a combined 36-6 across six sets.
- Gabriele Felline won fourth singles 6-1, 6-3.
- Gianmarco Amatiste and Will Kirkman each won 6-1, 6-0 in their matchups.
