HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 10th-ranked Fighting Knights had no trouble taking care of Florida National, running away with a 7-0 victory.
- In doubles, Karyna Bihel and Jacqueline Wagner won 6-0 over Andrea Guzman and Sofia Pera. In the other two matches, the teams of Giorgia Pigato and Zofia Podbiol and Barbora Cibakova, and Irina Lapustina earned victories after their opponents withdrew.
- In singles, Podbiol made her Lynn debut with a 7-6, 6-3 win in the number one slot.
- Pigato continued her hot play from the fall, picking up a 6-3, 6-3 win over Vanessa Simeone.
- Cobakova won 6-2, 6-2 and Wagner won 6-2, 6-1.
- In the fifth singles slot, Lapustina won 6-1, 6-2.
- Eliska Petrackova closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-2 win in the sixth singles slot.
- The Fighting Knights didn't drop a single game and only one game went to a tiebreaker for the entire event.
