HOW IT HAPPENED
- In doubles, the Fighting Knights didn't lose a single game, as their three teams defeated Eckerd by a combined 18-0. The third doubles team of Irina Lapustina and Barbora Cibakova finished first, then the second doubles duo of Giorgia Pigato and Zofia Podbiol secured the doubles point. The fourteenth-ranked pair in the country of Jacqueline Wagner and Karyna Bihel finished out the perfect doubles round for Lynn.
- National No. 41, Pigato earned Lynn their second point of the match by winning 6-1, 6-1 in third singles.
- Podbiol cruised to an easy win in second singles by a score of 6-0, 6-2.
- Wagner would seal the match for the Fighting Knights by winning first singles 6-3, 6-3.
- Cibacova wrapped up the fifth singles for the Fighting Knights 6-0, 6-0.
- Bihel would win the fourth single 6-0, 6-0 with the match already decided.
- The sixth and final single to finish was won by Lapustina 6-1, 6-2.
