HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Fighting Knights got off to a hot start in doubles when the second doubles team of Zofia Podbiol and Giorgia Pigato won 6-2. The third doubles team of Irina Lapustina and Barbora Cibakova clinched the doubles point for Lynn winning their match 6-2. First singles would end unfinished, but the national No. 6 pair of Jacqueline Wagner and Karyna Bihel were leading 5-2 at the conclusion.
- In singles, national No. 17 Pigato defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-1 in fourth singles to give Lynn a 2-0 lead.
- Lapustina put Lynn within one point of victory when she won sixth singles 6-3, 6-1.
- Cibakova wrapped up the match for the Fighting Knights, winning fifth singles 6-2, 7-5.
- The other three matches would not be completed. Each was tied 1-1 and heading into the third set at the time the match was clinched by Lynn.

Lynn will remain in Valdosta and play a neutral site match against West Florida tomorrow at 1 p.m.
