HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 1):
- The Sharks struck first today on an unearned run from of an error, leading Lynn 1-0.
- In the top of the second, Faith Miller tallied her first K of three on the day.
- Miller also recorded an RBI single off of a hit to left-center. She drove in Brittney Davis who reached on an error.
- The Fighting Knights took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. After Davis singled to short, she scored after Miller reached first on an error.
- Monique Poitevin drove in a run for Lynn to add another run for the Fighting Knights. She drove in Miller on a single to left field. Fighting Knights leading 3-1.
- In the top of the fifth, the Sharks scored a run to be down one off an RBI double. On the same play, the Fighting Knights got the Sharks in a pickle between third and home. After tagging Nova out at home, a quick throw to third recorded the double play and ended the inning.
- In the sixth and up by one, Madison Prickett came in for Lynn. The Sharks put up two runs in the top to go up 4-3.
- The Sharks added two more runs in the seventh to go up 6-3.
- After Janelle Dominguez doubled to left-center in the seventh, Davis tallied an RBI from Dominguez off of a single to center field. The Fighting Knights lost 6-4.
- Davis went 2-4 with two runs and an RBI.
- Dominguez went 1-4 with a run.
- Poitevin went 1-1 with an RBI and a walk.
- Miller went 2-3 with an RBI and a run. She also pitched 6.2 innings where she gave up three earned runs on nine hits. She also threw three strikeouts in her 6.2IP.
- Prickett got the loss in her .1IP. She allowed two runs on two hits.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 2):
- With Haley Fardanesh in the circle, she recorded her first K of the game in the first. The Sharks also took the lead in the first on an RBI double.
- In the top of the fifth and down one, Josey Sumpter came in for Lynn. With a runner on second and third, she threw a strikeout to end the top half of the inning.
- With two outs in the top of the fifth, Karlie Sweiderk homered left-center to tie the game for the Fighting Knights.
- Miller returned to the circle for game two in the top of the sixth.
- The Sharks took the lead back in the top of the seventh. With two outs in the seventh, the Sharks hit a two-RBI single to go up 3-1.
- In the bottom of the ninth, Davis singled and eventually got to second, but three straight outs ended the game with the Sharks winning.
- Sweiderk went 1-2 with a homer and a walk.
- Davis, Destiny Torres, and Aymee Godmaire all went 1-2.
- Fardanesh allowed one run on five hits in 4IP. She also had two Ks.
- In 1.1IP, Sumpter had a strikeout with a hit and a walk allowed.
- Miller allowed two runs on three hits in her loss. She also had one strikeout in 1.2 innings.
