HOW IT HAPPENED
- The sixth-ranked duo of Karyna Bihel and Jacqueline Wagner continued their excellent play by defeating the 40th-ranked team in the nation 6-3, to win first doubles for Lynn.
- The Argos would win third doubles, but the pair of Giorgia Pigato and Zofia Podbiol would wrap up the doubles point for Lynn by winning second doubles 6-4.
- Bihel would pick up the win in fourth singles after her opponent retired with Bihel up one set to zero.
- The Fighting Knights got their third point from national No. 17 Pigato who won third singles 6-3, 6-4.
- Podbiol lost second singles to the 43rd-ranked player in the nation to bring the team score to 3-1.
- Eliska Petrackova sealed the deal for the Fighting Knights, winning sixth singles 7-5, 6-2.
- The remaining two matches would end unfinished, with 59th-ranked Wagner just one game away from victory in first singles and Irina Lapustina tied 1-1 in fifth singles.
