HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Fighting Knights earned the doubles point behind victories from the teams of Karyna Bihel and Jacqueline Wagner and Giorgia Pigato and Zofia Podbiol. Bihel and Wagner won first doubles 6-2 while Pigato and Podbiol won second doubles 6-1. Mayanka Rana saw her first action of the season in third doubles, but she and her teammate Eliska Petrackova were unable to win their match, losing 7-5.
- In singles, the Fighting Knights dominated across the board. Podbiol won first singles 6-3, 6-0.
- In second singles, Wagner lost just one game, winning 6-1, 6-0.
- Third singles saw one of the more competitive matches of the day, but Pigato was able to hold off her opponent for a 6-4, 6-3 win.
- Barbora Cibakova took fourth singles 6-1, 6-3.
- Bihel won fifth singles 6-1, 6-2.
- Petrackova then secured the sweep with a 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 win.
- The Fighting Knights move back to .500 in SSC play and will now play four consecutive nonconference matchups.
