Box Score 2 Boca Raton, Florida - After a stretch of hard-fought games, the Fighting Knights took down the Gyrenes on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon. With their doubleheader victory including a 9-1 onslaught win in game one, the Fighting Knights kept their presence known and beat Ave Maria on a walk-off in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1):
- In the top of the first inning, it did not take long for Madison Prickett to get her first strikeout before Lynn's offense took the field.
- The Fighting Knights added their first run in the bottom of the first. After Taylor Scala singled and stole second, Janelle Dominguez who has not played since Feb. 25th, doubled to left field to drive in Scala.
- In the second inning, the Fighting Knights kept the offense up piling on five runs.
- After Karlie Sweiderk, Bailey Fernandez, and Faith Miller all got on base, Brittney Davis ripped a double to left field for two runs.
- The following play, Prickett hit a sac-fly to drive in Miller.
- After that, Morgan Simpson hit an RBI single to drive in Davis. Simpson later scored on a wild pitch, putting the Fighting Knights up 6-0.
- Ave Maria scored their lone run in the top of the fifth inning, but the Fighting Knights added a few more runs before the eight-run rule ended the game.
- Ashley Davis singled to drive in Fernandez who walked earlier in the at-bat.
- Haley Weiss collected an RBI on a ground out for Danielle Pasquariello to score who singled to left earlier.
- Lexi Butler ended the game for the Fighting Knights when she singled to right field for Davis to score.
- Butler went 2-2 with an RBI.
- B. Davis went 1-2 with two RBIs, a double and a run scored.
- A. Davis went 1-2 with an RBI and a run.
- Pasquariello and Sweiderk each went 1-1 with a run, while Sweiderk's hit was a double and she added a walk.
- Dominguez and Simpson each went 1-2 with an RBI. Dominguez's one hit was a double, while Simpson added two swiped bags.
- Scala went 1-1 with a run and two stolen bases.
- Prickett picked up her second win of the season. In her 4IP, allowed no runs on three hits and had four Ks.
- Josey Sumpter who came in relief, pitched one inning and allowed one run on two hits. She also had two Ks.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 2):
- The Gyrenes got on the board first this game. They took the lead in the second on a sac-fly to go up 1-0. Haley Fardanesh who was pitching recorded two strikeouts for Lynn.
- That lead did not last long, however, as Weiss singled to center driving in Erin Sporn who pinch ran for Fernandez who singled.
- With one out in the top of the fourth, Miller entered the game to pitch for the Fighting Knights. With two on and one out, a strikeout and a flyout would get her out of the inning in a tie.
- In the bottom of the fourth, Fernandez and Sweiderk singled to start the hitting. Simpson came in to pinch-hit and took the lead for the Fighting Knights on an RBI single, now leading 2-1.
- Miller recorded two more Ks for Lynn in the top of the fifth.
- A solo shot by the Gyrenes to center would ultimately tie the game in the sixth.
- In the top of the seventh with a runner on second, a crucial strikeout by Miller would set up the Fighting Knights' chance for a win.
- With two outs in the bottom of the seventh, B. Davis walked for the Fighting Knights. A single from Aryana Galioto would get Davis to third on an error, setting up the winning run. Scala came to the plate with two outs and two on, laid down a single to short and beat out the throw for a walk-off win 3-2.
- Fernandez went 2-3 with a run.
- Simpson and Scala both went 1-2 with an RBI.
- Weiss went 1-1 with an RBI.
- Fardanesh pitched 3.1 innings, allowing one run on two hits while throwing three Ks.
- Miller picked up her team-leading fifth win while pitching 3.2 innings, she gave up one run on four hits, and had four Ks.
